Dry and sunny across the North West as temperatures ease slightly
After any early patchy cloud clears, today brings another dry day with plenty of sunshine across North West England. The sunshine may turn a little hazy into the afternoon as some high cloud drifts in, but no rain is expected anywhere in the region.
It stays warm, though not quite as hot as recent days, with highs of 23C to 26C inland and around 20C to 23C along the coast and across much of Cumbria. Winds turn light northerly, with gusts mostly 10 to 20 mph and a touch stronger on exposed coasts and hills.
This evening and tonight remain dry with lengthy clear spells and just intermittent cloud. Winds fall away and it will be a mild but more comfortable night than of late, with lows of around 13C to 15C.
