Bright start before cloud builds, drizzle confined to Cumbria
Monday starts bright with the best of the sunshine across Cheshire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester. Cloud thickens from the north through the day, bringing the chance of a little light rain or drizzle to Cumbria, mainly over the fells. Elsewhere it stays dry and feels warmer than of late, with highs of 16C to 19C for most and up to 21C towards Cheshire.
Tonight, low cloud and hill fog spread across the north of the region with patchy drizzle possible, while the south stays drier. A mild night, with temperatures no lower than around 11C to 13C.
Winds stay light, southerly to south-westerly, gusting 8 to 15 mph inland and up to around 20 mph on exposed coasts and hills, easing further this evening.
