Dry weather developing across the next few days, sunny at times too but some mist and fog possible too!!!

It’s a grey and damp start with patchy hill fog and the odd bit of light rain or drizzle. Conditions will gradually improve through the afternoon as cloud lifts and breaks, allowing plenty of sunny spells to develop. It’ll stay rather breezy but feel warmer than Monday, with highs around 16°C.

Tonight remains dry with clear spells at first. Cloud will tend to build across Cumbria overnight, bringing the chance of some drizzle over higher ground. Elsewhere, clearer skies could allow a few fog patches to form, with temperatures dipping to around 4°C.

Wednesday begins on a chilly note but turns into a lovely sunny day for many. Any morning cloud in Cumbria should soon clear, leaving widespread sunshine. With lighter winds, it will feel warm, reaching around 18°C.

Looking ahead, Thursday to Saturday stay largely dry with good sunny spells. At times, thicker cloud could bring the odd spot of light rain over the hills, and it will gradually begin to feel a little cooler.
